Thomas Johnson Elementary Middle School is designated as a Gifted and Advanced Learning (GAL) site by Baltimore City Public Schools. We offer gifted education services to students in all grade levels who meet the requirements of the universal screening process. We also offer honors courses to middle school students who qualify for advanced placement. Honors courses are weighted when calculating GPA for high school choice programs.
Thomas Johnson Elementary Middle School is proud to have been recognized by the Maryland State Department of Education as a Maryland Excellence in Gifted and Talented Education (EGATE) school.
